ROSS GOLDFIELDS RECONSTRUCTED. Tho following telegram has been received from the Mine Superintendent of the Ross Goldfields:—"24oz6. 6dwts. of gold from 348 trucks. Kxpect to have water race tunnel available next Monday." The Mine Superintendent reports as fol* lows on the work nt the mine for tho week ending April 22:—Blocking is proceeding with two shifts off Nos. 1 and 3 *»outh* west drives," and No. 4 north-east drive. At Kanieri Forks tho deviation, drive has been complete. To ensure additional strength to the timber in this section intermediate «ets and lining boards an; being placed in position. Ar an additional precaution against future mishaps in this tunnel advantage is heing taken uow to closely examine the timber and to rcplaco any fiefective sets or lathe.
