THE ELECTION OF CANDIDATES.

Sir—The new candidates selected by the Committee of the Greater Wellington Town Planning and Municipal Electors' Association seem to consist for the most part of residents in the near neiphoourhood of Hataitai and Kilbirnio, where indeed most of the members of tlie committee which selected them also live.

It is noticeable that there ib not a single candidate on their "ticket" who resides north of Mount Street, so that so far as the committee is concerned almost the whole i of the Wellington North electorate is entirely unrepresented.

Perhaps some member of the committee of the Greater Wellington Electors' Association whioh is responsible for the selection of candidates can explain this apparent anomaly.—l am, eto., A WELLINGTON NORTH MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION.
