DOUBLE TRAGEDY
NARCOTIC POISONING. (Rec. April 26, 0.5 a.m.)
London, April 24. Herbert Horsfall Stanhope, a bank clerk, and Constance Julia. Brent, wife of the manager of the New Southland Sawmilling Company, New Zealand, were found dead in a boardinghouse near Hyde Park.
The doctor's evidence at the inquest was to the effect that death was due to narcotic poisoning. Mrs. Brent had recently been treated for neurasthenia and warned against taking large doses of trinal.
The inquest has been adjourned.
