MASTERTON NEWS.
The tender of Mr. Frank E. Hazel, of Eketahuna. at £562 per annum, has been accepted by the Masterton Borough Council for the lease of the borough reserve of 748 acres at Mangaone. Five other tenders were received.
Seventy-seven motor-cars and thirtynine motor-cycles have been registered in Masterton during ' the past year. Forty-eight building permits were issued during the year.
There are 3476 names on the municipal voters' list of Masterton. At the last election there were 3360 names oil the list. The foundation-stone of tho Masterton municipal buildings is to bo laid by the Mayoress at an early date.
