TROUBLE OVER A TOTE TICKET.

Simpkin was committed for trial for false pretences. lie presented a £5 ticket at the totalisator at the Feilding races oji Easter Monday, purporting to be on the winning horse of the sixth race. He was really on a horse with a similar number in the third 'race. The sum collectable was £52 15s. The official refused to pay, and got Simpkin to sign the ticket.
Pink Heather has been scratched for all engagements at the 1 Marlborough Racing Club's' meeting, to be held on May 5 and 6. La Dean is a two-year-old, and therefore not eligible to compete in the. Electric Hack Handicap.
The nominations for the Marlborough meeting to bo held on May 5 ami 6 give promise of providing fine fields and a record gathering is confidently anticipated. The trip to Blenheim is always a popular one with owners, trainers, and punters.
