THE PATENT SLIP

HARBOUR BOARD'S RESOLUTION.

Last night the Wellington Harbour Board resolved to accept the Wellington Patent Slip Company's _ proposals with regard to tho second slip, ,as under ;—

"Tho company agrees to construct a slip 130 feet in length so that it will be capable of extension if required to 150 feet- in length, and of taking on vossolb of that length if tho extension is mado. "The company agrees to install at the outset hauling'gear capable of use jn connection with a slip 150 feet in length. "Tho company will at the end of seven years from date forthwith extend tho 130 ft. slip to a length of 150 ft. without further negotiation or. arbitration.

"That in the event of tho company not agreeing to tho above proposals as amended by tho committee the decision as to the length of the slip to bo left to the Minister of Marine."
