In respect to the railway fatality at :Paekakariki on Friday,last, in ; which Charles Thomas Boulton was fatally-in-jured, the Coroner (Mr. G. Cruicksliank, S.M.) has returned a verdict that, doceased was accidentally , run over and killed by a train at'Paekakariki-on Friday last, no blame being attachable to anyone. Evidence was given by John Meachen, engine-driver of the train that, ran over deceased, that on arrival at Paekakariki he received a signal to pull out foe shunting. After the train had passed the signal box he heard a grinding noise undor the engine. _ Ho stopped the engine f and on searching with a lamp on the lines discovered deceased.
