THE PAEKAKARIKI RAILWAY FATALITY. The man who was fatally injured by being run over by a train at I'aekakariki on Friday lias now been identified as Mr. Charles Thomas Boulton. Mr. Boulton was an old settler of Pahautanui, arid was a single man of 53 year's of. age; T t is surmised' that the •deceased) who was deaf, attempted to cross the line, ■ and be'ng unaware of the approach of the train was knocked down by it. . ' Oii Saturday afternoon an inquest was opened by Mr. G. Cruickshank, S.M., out adjourned again bo that the railway officials might be present.
