BRITISH LIQUOR POLICY
MORE DRASTIC CONTROL (Rec. April 18, 3.30 p.m.) London ( April 17. _ It is understood that the Government liquor policy now consists of more drastic control of publichouses in the areas chiefly, concerned; partial prohibition of spirits with compensation, and encouragement for tho manufacture of light beers. There is to be no legislation in respect to wines, except heavier taxation, with discrimination in favour of Australian and French light wines.
