WONDERFUL PHOTOGRAPHIC INVENTION
Nearly every enthusiastic photographer has-at some time or other, longed foi some means of recording on each negative,. immediately after exposure, those facts concerning the subject that will prove of value for future reference. For instance, after a holiday tour at Kctorua or in the country, or (round the Gold Lakes, one is likely to collect a batch of .picturesque scenes, the ing of which presents a difficult problem. A clever inventor has produced a device which enables the'photographer to date and title each-negatue immediately after exposure..The. patents of this notable invention' were secured by the Kodak Company at a cost ot more than a step in keeping with the K'.dak .policy of making a practical working success of everything that pertains to the genuine advancement of photography.
The autographic improvement is simplicity itself. Touch a spiing, and a little door'opens in th* back' of the kodak; write with pencil on the red page of the autographic film cartridge; expose from two to five seconds; close the door, and you are ready for the next picture. When the nogatives are developed, a permanent reproduction of tho writing will appear on tho intersections between - the negatives, and it may be shown on the prints if desired. A moment's thought will convince a photographer of the possibilities of this new kodak feature. When travelling the date and title of the scenes photographed can be noted at once. The autographs of friends, the ages and names of the children, may be'recorded at the time pictures are made. The nutogTaphio feature is invalu ibie to architects, engineers,* and contractors, who take progressive photographs of work in which they are interested. Fanners, horticulturists, and students of Nature will be ablo to considerably enhance the valuio of their pictures, while enthusiastic amateurs can improve tlio quality of their work by noting particulars of the exposure of every negative. Kodakkers can obtain the autographic kicks from any dealer, while tho autographic kodaks nro on sale throughout the Dominion. Full particulars con lie obtained from Kodak.
