Instead of the weekly drill, the Hataitai subdivision held a general meeting, and settled various items of importance. As the gymnasiums are used by the football clubs on Tuesdays, the drill night is now Mci'day, from 7.30 o'clock. Squad drill has been abolished, as originally arranged, there being only the one night in the week occupied now. Ambulance and signalling squads ( \vere formed under capable instructors, and a sub-committee of three was formed to make inquiries "regarding a miniature ritte.. range. _ . Lieut. Nimmo reported that the Bugle and Drum Band of the Senior Cadets was available at any tima, which offer was highly appreciated. Lieut. Nimmo and Sergt.-Major Millet were heartily thanked for tho keen interest they had shown, and sincere regret was expressed • that Sergt.-Major Millet was. unable through ill-health to continue his instructions. After the meeting about 40 members, who evidently miss the weekly drill, had half an hour of companj and manual exercise, and showed capital form.
