SALVATION ARMY CONGRESS
Owing to the unprecedented success of the public meetings in connection with the two previous Congresses held in Wellington, the Salvation Army authorities have decided this year to engage the Town Hall both for the musical festival on Saturday next, and also for the young people's display on the Monday night, April 19. Some 350 delegates will assemble in Wellington on Friday, when they will be welcomed by Commissioner Hodder. On Saturday afternoon, a jubilee reception to the delegates will take place at Thorndon Station, this to be followed a prooession through the streets. The visiting bands taking part in tlus march will 'be those of Wanganui, Feilding. and Sydenham, and also the band of Wellington South,'and the_ excellent combination of Wellington City. Council sessions will be conducted throughout the Congress, tlieso being for the special benefit of tbe officers, who will be present from every corps in the Dominion. The Sunday night meeting will be held in the Grand Opera House, while in the afternoon it is intended, weather permitting, to conduct a huge open-air demonstration in the Basin Reserve. The service at 11 a.ni. will be held in the Vivian Street Citadel. Tbe whole series closes with a day with God, a day of praise and intercession on Thursday, April 22. Commissioner Qodder will be in command of all meetiuee.
