Messrs. Dalgcty ond Co., Ltd., Wellington, report having held their monthly Otaki salo on Wednesday, when a good yarding of sheep and catt-lo came forward. Bidding for sheep was especially animated, and when compared with last rates prices for wethers and boggets were fully le. per head dearer. A total clearance of sheep was effected at the under-mentioned rates:— Good skinned 2-tooth wethers. 225. 9d.; good wolly hoggets, 14fl. 10d.; 4r.vear-old owes, 195.; fat wethers, 245.; medium hoggets, 9s. 6d to lis. Id. Bidding for all sheep offered was animated and a rise of fully is. per head was shown on lambs and wethers when compared witli last sale rates. Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report ion their Dannevirke sale held Friday as follows:—An exceptionally heavy yarding of all classes of sheep came forward. Best Ji-nes of lambs and wethers met .with good competition, but ewes were decidedly easier than, last market report. We quitted the bulk wf our yarding at the following list of pi.ces:-Sheep: Cull lambs, 4s. 3d. to ss. 7d.j medium do., Bs. 2d. to Bs. 3d.; best lines shorn lambs, to 12s. 9d.; cull ewes, 76. 9d., Be. 7d., to Bs. 9d.; medium do., 126. 48. to 13s:; 4 ond 5-year ewes, to 15b.; fat ewes, 195.; 2-tooth ewes, to 14s. lid.; cull 2tooth wethers, lis.; medium do., 16s. 7d. to 17s. 7d.; best lines, 195.; 4-tooth wethers, 20s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, DannevirkC, report:—Since our last report wo have held sales as under:—April. 1, clearing sale on account of Mr. W. Sinclair, at Kirhaki. There was a very good attendance, and us the stock,' etc., offered was of a fairly nigh standard very satisfactory prices were realised. April 9: Our Dannevirke pale was held in the Miller's Road -yards. Both sheep and cattle were yarded in large numbers. Generally speaking, prices realised for sheep were somewhat easier than of late, but lambs and wcthcrß sold fairly well. Although on the whole competition, was not very brisk, with the exception of one small lino, we qxuitte'd the -whole of our entry under the hammer. Competition for good ewes, lambs and wethers-was very keen throughout, hut inforior lines were hard to quit.
