Tho question as to which is the best future proposition for the fiallanco Dairy Company to undertake, the manufacture of butter or of cheese, is now occupying the attention of suppliers to this concern. So far the scheme favoured at the centres'-where riieetings have been held is for the continuation of manufacturing butter. At Makomako, a motion to this effect 'was carried unanimously. At Ballsincc, when a show of hands was taken for those favouring cheese, only one was held up. In tho Haimia district ( the director for that centre paid a personal visit, and hereports that only one favoured cheese. At Konini the verdict was for a dual .plant, while at Scarborough (Mangatmitu) tho majority at a meeting of seme 20 suppliers favoured forming a separate company to undertake the manufacture of cheese. The Hukanui suppliers have rot yet held a meeting, but intend doing so at an early date. Some interesting developments may be expected before the final choice is made. —Pahiatua correspondent.
