A motorist was travelling towards Wellington last evening front Potonc, and when. Hearing the railway crossing at Petoue he turned down the railway track, the car evidently crossing tho cattle-stop on a slight angle. Obtaining assistance, he took the car a little further on, and gained the road by means of a friendly gate. The motorist had a close call to a rather serious accident, in view of the fact that a train v/as nearly due, and the.car was considerably bumped about. This is about tho third time that, a similar mishap has occurred. Messrs. W. and G.
