FOUR MILLIONS MORE EXPORTS.
Dp till Saturday morning tho amount expended by the Government in tho purchase of meat for oxport was £532,000. Commenting upon this fact the Prime Minister said that exports from Now Zealand during tho financial year ended March ?l last had been abnormally large. They bad amounted in value to over twenty-seven millions sterling, nearly, four millions more than for the pro' iding year. "There is no doubt," ho said, "that this accounts for tho prosperity which the country is enjoying, and the fact that money is probably more plentiful in Now Zealand just now than in any other of tbo Dominions of tho Empire. 1 '
