The Rose Day Belgian Appeal Committee cabled to King Albert of Belgium saying that it was holding a festival in aid of the Belgians, and felicitating His Majesty upon his birthday. King Albert replied thanking the committee, and saying ho would be happy to personally distribute the gift to his unhappy countrymen.
