SUPPLY OF WAR MUNITIONS
KITCHENER TAKES ACTION London, April 6. Tlie Press Bureau states that Lord Kitchener (Secretary of State for War) has appointed a committee to take steps to secure a supply of munitions of war sufficient for all requirements. The workers at the shipyards and munition factories on the Tyneside returned to work after the holidays with remarkable punctuality. This is attributed to the King's and Lord Kitoheiier's appeals. (Rec. April 8, 0.5 a.m.) London, April 7. Mr. George Booth, a member of a Liverpool shipping firm, is the mouthpiece of Lord Kitchener's Munitions Committee. The papers vsuggest that he fulfils the requirements for the "strong man" which Mr. Lloyd George was reported some time ago to be looking for to supervise the Government's commercial dealings in connection with the war.
