PRINTERS CONFERENCE.

♦ The conference of delegates of printing and allied trades concluded its deliberations yesterday. A set of niles has been drawn up for, the lfew body, which it is anticipated will bo acceptable to the unions concerned. Provision is made for the association to be governed by an executive composed of representatives of the different branches of the industry: for the rotation of executive duties oienliialty amongst the various districts, for the holding of biennial conferences of delegates from each district; and for the establishment of a mortality scheme. The organisation of workers engaged in the industry at present outside of the unions will be undertaken.

The executive will be located in Wellington for the first term, and Dunedin has been seleoted aa the locale for the next conference.
