Meeting at Randwick \ which attracted a good attendauce. Meriimax disappointed his supporters in the Hurdles, and. finished sixtu. The public had selected Ulva's Isle to win the Autumn Stakes, but Sir Alwyijton beat the favourite in the last few yards. In the Doncaster there was a big field, and Woorak and Portrush. shared the popular fancy, and flattered their supporters in the early stages, but were unable' to last. Garlin, always in a useful position, took charge at the distance, ana won a good race. Mountain Knight capOqrad the St. Leger with more to spare than the result indicated.
