FIRES
BOARDINGHOUSE DAMAGED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, April 4. A boardinghouse in Grafton Road; occupied by Mrs. B. Sheriff and owned b.y Mr. H. J. Holland, caught fire on Saturday night. Several bedrooms were badly burned and the whole place was flooded with water. The boarders lost everything. The contents, which were insured for £350, suffered severely. The insurance on the building is not available. MILKING MACHINE PLANT DESTROYED. IBy Tolegraph.—Special CorrMDontlenti Pahlatua, April 3. A milking shed containing a milking machine plant and engine, owned by Henry Stevens, was destroyed by firo early on Friday morning. The plant waa insured for £120 and the building for £30. . The origin of the fire is a mystery.
