March 31, 1515. Slrcnge to say. the old-fashioned method of external treatment of Rheumatism and its allied ills is still almost a fetish with some pcoplo. They seem to believe that a liniment or plaster is tho only way of obtaining relief from uric aci'd (roubles—and so they get worse aud worso -until their Rheumatism becomes chronic. Liniments and plasters can give but temporary relief. No cure can bo effected until the cause is removed. Tho trouble is due to excess uric acid in the blood nnd this must be eradicated.
