THE MEDICAL BOARD
r FIRST MEETING. Tho first meeting of the Medical Board set up under the Medical Practitioners Act of last session was held yesterday. Tho members of the board, of whom all were present, are: Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, Chief Health Officer; Dr. W. H. Parkes, President of the Auckland Branch of the British Medical Association ; Dr. AV. Newlands, President of the Dunedin Branch; Dr. W. Irving, President of tho Christchurch Branch; Dr. H. Lindo Ferguson, Dean of the Medical Faculty at tho. University of Otago; and Dr. T. Hope Lewis, of Auckland. The board appointed Dr. Valintine chairman.
