PERSISTENT AUSTRIAN ATTACKS REPULSED _ . , . L . x Petrograd, March 30. Persistent Austrian attacks between Gorlice and Bartfeld were repulsed. The Russians have progressed in the Baligrod district, capturing prisoners and guns. f Gorlice and Bartfield are on the Galician and Hungarian sides respectively of the Carpathians, near Dukla Pass. The.y are about 30 miles apart as the crow flies, but this is no criterion of the actual distance along tlio mountain rrtad. Baligrod is near the Galician end of the Lupkow Pass, which is east of the Dukla Pass.l GERMANS CLAIM SUCCESSES IN EAST PRUSSIA. ■ . „ Amsterdam, March 30. A German official report claims that the Germans captured a thousand Russians at Tauroggen (six miles east of the Russo-East Prussian frontier) itnd killed two thousand. In the Krasnopol-Suwalki district (Russo-East Prussia frontier), they captured three thousand.
