One leaves Lambton Station at G.-lfl a.m. and. the other at 8.30 a.m. Good acceptances havo been received for the various events, and it only needs fine weather ito ensure an onjcyablo outing. After a ten day's postponement the OLinemuri meeting was concluded in fine weather oh Saturday last. Kauri King and Don Castor, who both hail from Auckland, each won doubles. 'J'lie hurdle race went to the St. Paul mare Valentino, formerly owned in Stratford. Achilledes, who has proved very useful at up country meetings lately, was successful in the big handicap. The runners in this race included tho old Freedom 'gelding Domino, who was in receipt of 181b. from the winner. A final reminder is given those concerned that acceptances for the C.J.C. All tumn Meeting close to-night. There is also a payment due for the Great Easter and Autumn Handicap and tho Champagne and Challenge Stakes. Secretarv J. M. Johnston, of the Manawatu Racing Club, was a visitor ito_ Wellington yesterday. While working at Trontham yesterday Undecided broke down, badly, and will be. unable to race at the Wairarapa meeting. It is said that Doon has been accepted for in the Hack Welter Handicap at Tauherinikau, though her name was not in the published list. Mr. C. Bower Is may had no fewer than three representatives in the Grand National, and Jacobus, tho least fancied of the trio, gave tho best display by finishing second. D. Webster took Kina and Parewanui south last evening They arc on their way bo the West Coant meetings, which commence next week. At the Mooneo Valley meeting on March 20, tho htirdle race was won by Milkabah, ridden by F. W. M'Cabe. Tho New Zealand-owned Rongopai finished third. The much-boomod Lord Multifid, who races in the colours of Mr. Jas. Hawkins, of New Plymouth, scored very casilv in the Welter Purse, defeating a hot favourite in Hoyal Alice. Tho New '/.ealander was in fiout from 'the rise of the barrier, and won pulling up. Palisade, carrying 10st., filled the position cf runner-up to Mallguard in tho High-Weight Handicap. After winning at Moonee Valley, an offer of lliUOgns. was refused for Lord Mnllilid. The Australian Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting will open at .Randwiek nil Saturday. Principal interest will centre in tho result of'the Doncnsler Handicap (one mile), but di'volecs of the weight-for-age for in will be keenly interested in the deci>ion of the St. Lreer, in which Mountai'i Knight and Carlita arc to incut once again.
