BOWLS
WELLINGTON BOWLING CENTRE. The Wellington Bowling Centre held a meeting in the Wellington Club's pavilion last evening in connection with the pairs tournament to bo held at Easter (commencing on Good Friday morning) in aid of the Belgian Fund. Mr. E. J. Hill presided. Mr. J. J. Roberts, secretary, reported that 42 entries had been received, and as the trance was 10s. a man tlie fund would benefit to the extent of £21. The following clubs entered teams :—Wellington, iO; flionidon, 5; Newtown, 3; Victoria, 4; Seatoun,'4; Hataitai, 3; Kelburn, 3; L.vall Bay, 3; Te Hiwi, 2; Karori, 2; Khandallah, 1. It was decided that the Wellington,, Newtown, Thorndon, and Maitaitai greens should be used. The following is the draw: — Section A.—Leighton (Thorndon), Flvger (Newtown), M'Arthur (Khandallah), Blake (L.vall Bay), Benzie (Tc Hiwi), Crane (Wellington), Osbovne (Wellington), Hatch (Victoria), Kinvig (Wellington), S. Greens.—Friday, Newtown; Saturday, Hataitai; Monday, Wellington. Play will commence on Good Friday morning at 9.15 a.m. Three Lyall Bay rinks are to tour Hie Wairarapa during tlio Easter holidays. "THE NARRERS." A player on tlie Wellington Club's green was playing consistently narrow sliots on Saturday afternoon, when tlie exasperated skip called out:—"Tako your green—you've got the 'narrers'J" "I can't help it," returned the genial No. 2, "I've been reading so much about the Dardanelles!" FEILDING RINKS ON TOUR. Two rinks from the Feilding Bowling Club—W. G. Kaybittle, D. S. Thomson, T. L. Mills, G. Harford, D. S. Thomson, Robertson, Whittle (s.), and _ G. Saywell (s.)—are to pay return visits to the Wellington and Hutt greens during the Easter holidays. The visitors will put up at tho Occidental Hotel.
