£20,000 FINE FOR TARRING THE GERMAN FLAG. (Rec. March 29, 5.15 p.m.) London, March 2S. A report from Amsterdam says that tho Germans fined Bruges £20,000 because some schoolboys tarred the German flag. THE HATED LANGUAGES. (Rec. March 30, 0.15 a.m.) Airtfterdam, March 29. Von Jajow, Protect of the Berlin Police, has forbidden the use of commercial signs which include words in enemy languages.
