AVebb, tho latter's backers have now notified that negotiations are off, and no further offers will be considered till Hannan puts up a satisfactory deposit. As regards Charles Towns's ..recently-cabled willingness to meet AVebb, it is announced that if Towns will come to AVanganui, AVebb will row him for £200 aside. REGATTA AT AUCKLAND. vßy Tdesra^h.-Press Association.) Auckland, March 28. The Auckland Rowing Association's annual regatta was held yesterday in good weather and on fairly smooth water. The AVest End crews won the Maiden Double Sculls, Novice Fotirß, and Junior Fours. St. George's crews won the Junior Double Sculls, Maiden Pairs, and Open Maiden Fours. AA'aitemata won tho AA'eltor-AA r eight Maiden Fours, Handicap Single Sculls (D. Hadfield, 'scr.), and Open Challenge Fours. Ngaruawahia won tho Maiden Single Sculls (J. St. Clair). North Shore won the Youths' Fours, and AVhangarei won the Light-AVeight Maiden Fours. Crews from the Otahuhu Club also competed.
