A fair yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward, and with the exception ; of one pen of sheep, a total clearance wa» made at the following prices F.m. ewea; 13s. Id.; cull do., 76. Id.; small 2-tooth wethers, 145.; 2-tooth Roinney ,rams, Hens.: store cows, to £3 14s ; 2-year heifers, r.w.b., £3 12s. to £3 13s. 6d.; 18-months do., £3; yearling steers, £3. is.; weaner steers, Jlr; weaner heifers,: 305.; miied wearier 6, small, 20s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams,- • Ltd., Pahietua, report having conducted at Pahiatua, on March 25, a highly-successful Me of all the stock of Mr. D. W Allen, of Pori, and Mr. N. L. Avery, of Ngaturi,. who have just sold their properties: ';TJie quality of the Btock wa6 exceptionally good.': Tho sheep were in first-class condition, heavily woolled, and of strong constitution. Hawke'B. Bay, Wairarapa, and Manawatu districts were strongly represented, and competition commenced wij-h S'eat keenness, BOO' 4 ond '6-tooth ewes of r. D. W. Alien's going to Mr. W. H.
