MURDER MYSTERY IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
VICTIM'S YOUNGEST SON IN CUSTODY. Adelaide, March 26. At tho inquest on William E. Escott, black trackers'gave evidence that they discovered tracks leading from the house of the deceased to a shaft where a gun was found. The tracks were those of Harold Escott, deceased's youngest son, Who is.at present in custody on a charge of murder.' r.William F. Escott, farmer, of Black Springs, was shot by an unknown person' on the evening of March 16 last. The shot, which proved fatal, was fired through the window of his office, and apparently the weapon, a shot-gun. was placed close to the window. Escott was one of the oldest residents of Black Springs.] (Rec. March 26. 8.45 p.m.) ' * Adelaide, March 20. Harold Scott has been committed for trial for tho alleged murder of his father.
