CARTERTON.
Mr. A. E. Wallis, of Carterton, has secured a contract for the erection of a school at Rawwhaa, in the Mangatainoka district. Mr. and Mrs. H. Dooley, of Carterton, leave on Thursday on a holiday trip to Feikling, Auckland, 'and Sydney. They will he absent about two months. Mr. D. Reid presided at tho annual meeting of the South Wairarapa Poultry Association on Monday evening, when the balanco-slicet disclosed a small debit balance, the year's operations having considerably reduced tho previous debit balance. The question of holding a show this year mis Cully discussed, and it was decided to call a. special meeting early next month to finally decide tho matter.
