CONFECTIONERS PROSECUTED. (fly Tcteeraph.—Press Association.! Dunedin, March 24. Six confeotioners were fined' 10s. each and costs this morning for selling adulterated food within the meaning of the Act. The food in question was ice cream, which, according to the regulations, has to contain not less than 10 per cent of milk-fat in the form of cream. Small penalties were imposed, as the cases were brought to servo as a warning. It was not suggested that the ice cream contained any deleterious 6ubstancea.
