ITALIAN CHAMBER ADJOURNS
GOVERNMENT INSISTS ON A FREE HAND (Rec. March 24, 0.5 a.m.) Rome, March 23. The Chamber of Deputies has adjourned till May 8. Signor Turati asked for a shorter recess, with a view to controlling the country's foreiga policy. Signor Salandra (Prime Minister) replied that the Government needed the freedom of acting, and it commanded the country's confidence.
