STANSELL SHIELD. The first round of the annual competition for tKe Stansell Shield between the Hataitai, Lyall Bay, and Seatoun Bowling Clubs took place on the Lyall Bay green on Saturday, with tlie following results:— Lyall Bay: Reid, Ward, Ashton, Lambert (skip), 21. Hataitai: Claridge, Penney, Bailey, M'AVhannell (skip), 20. Lyall Bay : Tonks, Robinson, Blake, Brown (skip), 20. Seatoun: M'Gill,. Beeston, AA'yatt, Green (skip), 22. Hataitai: Williams, Slater, Martin, Naismith (skip), 26. Seatoun: "Wright, Alexander, CI axton, Lachlan (skip), 19. Totals: Hataitai, 46; Lyall Bay, 41; Seatoun, 41. The competition will be continued next Saturday. EASTER PAIRS TOURNAMENT. The whole of the entry fees for the Easter pairs tournament will be handed to the Belgian Relief Fund. A large entry is expected. Entries close with club secretaries on Saturday next, and the draw will tako place at a meeting of the centre to be held on Monday evening next. Competitors are asked to refer to our issue of March 30 for the draw.
