The juniors oid not do as well as expected. There is a tendency on the part of some of the junior players to follow the seniors on the chance of a game, senior, instead of playing with their own team, who were often short through this cause. The third-class team played a few. games, lost heart, and withdrew. The same applies to the fourth grade team. This, the committee points out, is not as it should be. od teams could be made of these two grades, and if a couple of older members would interest themselves in these teams there is good lilaterial to work on. The fifth-clars team shows good promise. _ They were runners-up for the championship, four members of this team_ being in tile fifth representatives who journeyed to Christchurch, namely, Baumber, Desmond, Fam'ilton. and Mence.
