.WEEK-END MATCHES. WILLOUGHBY KAEORI CLUB CHAMPION. The new name to bo engraved on the Karori Club's Championship Shield tins season is that of Rflmn. N. F. Willoughby. Under dull weather conditions at "rentham on Saturday afternoon Willoughby wou the Club Championship by five points from Riflemen W. Chirnside and H. _J. Bulford, who tied for second place, with Rifleman. J. Burns close up. The now club champion lias been shooting very consistently for some time, and bis total of 66 points on Saturday was a brilliant finish to a series of steady shoots. The runners-up, Riflemen Chirnside, Bulford and Burns, are all well-known performers. The handicap aggregate went to Rifleman George Jones, who won from H. P. Preston by ono point, with W. W. Morrah in third place. Rifleman Jones, who has been shooting exceptionally well this season, is one of those shots who seem to improve with age. The Johnston Cup aggregate wa6 annexed by Rifleman J. Cox, with a total of 198 points, Rifleman J. Burns being runner-up with 186. The honours of the second series, which was concluded on Saturday, went to Rifleman F. W. Ching. Rifleman Ching is undoubtedly the star performer of the club. This season he has won every competition with the exception of the Johnston Cup aggregate, and is of course the present Isew Zealand champion. A possible at 600 yaTds made by Rifleman T. C. HIGHLAND RIFLE CLUB. The Highland Rifle Club fired its annual course of service shooting last Saturday at Trentham, no slings or aper-' ture sights being allowed. Rifleman A.' S. Henderson put on the possible hits in the first series, failed in the second series,- then put on a brilliant 48 in the thjird series. Some fine scores were made. Results :—

The Petone Rifle Club completed its championship series on Saturday at Waiwetu. After an exciting finish the championship was won for the third timo by Rifleman W. Ballinger, who put up a good shoot at 1000 yards, and won the championship by seven points from Rifleman J. Carter, last season's, champion.
