EIGHT CHARGES OF THEFT
BOROUGH COUNCIL CASHIER IN TROUBLE. (Br IWetrrarh.—Press Asioolation.) Chrlptohurch, March 18. At the Lyttelton Court, Cecil George Farrow appeared on eight chargeß of theft of moneys of the Lytetlton Borough Council. The evidence given showed that accused had been employed by ' the council as cashier, and probably between £15,000 and £17,000 passed .. through his hands last year. He left on February 6 to join the Expedition- a ary Forces. Detective Carney said accused admitted converting tne money •' to his own uses owing to financial difficulties. Farrow pleaded guilty to all ' charges, and was committed for sentence. The total amount involved is ' about £700. . ;
