♦ A CHILD IN A BOAT. (By Telegraph.—Pross Association.) Westport, March 18, ■ Word has just reached Westport that a lad named Henderson, about soven years of age, got into a boat at Makihinui, let the painter go, and drifted out to sea. A vigorous search lias been made for threo miles along the shore on either side of the river, but no sign of the boat or lad has been seen. It, is thought, possible that he may be mid pickcrl 111,1 by soma passing Etoimer.
