♦ A CHILD IN A BOAT. (By Telegraph.—Pross Association.) Westport, March 18, ■ Word has just reached Westport that a lad named Henderson, about soven years of age, got into a boat at Makihinui, let the painter go, and drifted out to sea. A vigorous search lias been made for threo miles along the shore on either side of the river, but no sign of the boat or lad has been seen.
