BAKERS' UNION ALARMED. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) Sydney, March. 17. ■ At a. mass meeting of the Bakers' Union, in reference to the State-baking scheme of Mr. Hall, Attorney-General, a resolution- was earned condemning any action by the Government tending to minimise labour and throw out of employment hundreds'of men. It was stated that under State baking five out of six bakers now employed would be rendered idle.
