THE ANNUAL REPORT. Tho annual meeting of the Brooklyn Harriers will be held on March 24. The committee's annual report • congratulates members on another successful year socially and financially. Tho report continues:—"The membership of the club, now stands at 46 active .members, four honorary members, and 18 lady members. During the season 19 runs were held, the average attendance being 18. Six members attended every run, namely—G. Bristow, F. Harlen, P. Harvey, R. Harvey, W. Wakelin, and C. Willis. • Seven races for club members were decided, the following being the place-getters: Novice Handicap—N. Cummins, 1: C. Willis, 2. Three-mile Sealed Handicap—J. Douglas, 1; N. Cummins, 2. Cooke Cup—Hori Mio, 1; F. Harlen, 2. Steeplechase—C. Dentice, 1: Hori Mio, 2. Club Championship—R. • Ballantyne, 1; G. Hutton, 2. W.H. Tenmile Inter-Club—F. Hodson (Olympic), 1; J. Douglas (Brooklyn), 2. Cionsola-'i tion Handicap—J. Blenkinsop, 1; R. .Walters. 2. A sealed handicap'in conjunction with the club championship was won by C. Willis, F. Harlen, and J. Douglas, dead heat, 2. The highest number of points for "runs in" was obtained by G. Hutton. The Provincial C.C.C. was held at Miramar on July 25, seven teams competing. After a very close contest Olympic Club defeated Brooklyn by one point for first honours. The Individual Champion, ship was won by F. Byrne (Olympic), with R. J. Ballantyne (Brooklyn) 2. The thanks of the club are due to—P. Harvey, B. Bristow; L. A. George, A. Wilton, C. Guise, J. Andrews, and P. Oliver for donations; to It Marshall, P. Harvey, C.'Watt, W. Smith, P. Wilton, and W. Ballantyne for ; donating trophies for competition; to the Pressfor publicity given to harrierism; to the land owners for allowing the club to run oyer their property; to the Ladies' committee for their untiring ■ efforts; to Mrs. Harlen for officiating at • the piano; and to our ardent supporter Ci. Bristow, senr., for acting as official on Saturday runs. _ This committee begs to suggest to the incoming committee that steps be taken s <fco secure a suitable club room at ( the earliest opportunity."
