News has been received of the death ■ on Boxing Day, fit Geneva, of Bernard Stavenhagen, Liszt's last pupil, and a distinguished pianist and conductor. Stavenliagen, tlioush a German, had made Switzerland his home for ten years past, and had become one of the greatest factors in the ■ musical life of the country.
