The circumstances in which a railway labourer named Patrick Mattimore, aged 60, met his death" near Parnell railway tunnel on March 5 were furtlior inquired into this morning, when the adjourned inquest was resumed before Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M.j acting as coroner. ■ *

Tho coroner found that the cause of death was shock from injurios received when struck by a railway engine. The deceased had thoughtlessly walked on to the line when tho train was approaching, and no blamo was-attachable to anyone.
