NATIONAL RESERVE

NGAIO BRANCH FORMED, An enthusiastic meeting was held; iB the Methodist Church, Ngaio, last evenins for the purpose of, forming . a Ngaio branch of the National Reserve. Mr. C. C. Crump (Mayor .of Onslow) was in the chair, and addresses wero given by Messrs. Steele and Alderman. It was unanimously resolved to form a unit of the National Reserve at Ngaio. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. W. H. Clark; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Brenton-Rule; committee, Messrs. Collett, Westbrooke, and Nation.

The first drill, will be held on Friday next, on the school grounds. Mr. Steela was appointed instructor.
