FUND REACHES £100,000.

The general secretary of the fund which is being raised for the assistance' of those in distress in Great Britain, Ireland," and Belgium has forwarded, to. His Excellency the Governor a' statement of tho value of goods shipped in connection with the -fund. _ Tho total value of tho goods is estimated, at £20,000; if this is added to tho cash remittances of £66,000, it brings tho, total fund up to £92,000. There is in addition fully £8000 in hand and within sight, making a grand total of £100,000. The Canterbury District Fuud amounted to £30;000,- and the Wellington District Fund to £36,000, the total being apportioned as under: Great Britain and Ireland, £28,642; Belgium, £37,358. V ' V
