ST. PATRICK'S DAY
The committee which has in hand the arrangements for the celebration, of St. Patrick's Day is making every endeavour to see that gathering this year is a memorable one. . Mass will be-cele-brated at St. Mary of the. Angels' Church at 9 a.m., and at its conclusion a procession will be formed of the members of the Hibernian Society and others. Proceedings on the_ way to Newtown Park will be enlivened by selections by the Native Association's Band. A sports programme has been arranged, and there will also be sideshows of various descriptions.. The Irish Hurling Club will givo an exhibition of Ireland's national game, which should prove a novel item. An excellent programme has been arranged for the national concert in the evening. Mr. W. Farquhar Young and Miss M. Wrighton, rccent arrivals from England, have been engaged to come up from Christchurcli to contribute items. Miss Teresa M'Enroe and Miss Agnes M. Segrief, and Mr. Chas. Hickmott will also contribute to the programme. Mr. Jago,- who had been engaged, had to cancel his engagement through illness. Tho box plan opens at the Bristol Piano Department to-morrow morning.
