The Suburbs Rifle Club fired teams' matches on Saturday afternoon at Miramar. On Wednesday next the club will fire their final shoot at ranges of 600, 700, and 800 yards, after which the range will be closed for shooting. The only shooting now to be done by the club will be class firing and teams' shooting.
KARORI RIFLE CLUB. The Karori Rifle Club fired,the second match of its second series for trophies donated by Messrs. Comrie, W. J. Blundel-, A. Collins, G. Jones, Judd and Randell, and the olub. Ranges, 300 and 600 yards. Except for a • diffioult patch of weather at the commencement of the 600 yds shoot the conditions were good. Riflemen J.,Cox emerged with a good tally of 68, which included a,"possible" at 300 yds.. Riflemen H. Bulford, who was leading for the club championship by 3 points, had a' very uneasy time at 600 yds., but just managed to hold his place in the aggregate. The leading positions for tiie championship are now at a very interesting stage, only one point separating the leading four competitors. A prominent feature of Saturday's shoot was the good marksmanship exhibited by the handicap men, most of whom "picked up the rifle" l'or' the first time only a few months ago..: The scores are; 300. 600 yds, yds. , . DEFENCE STAFF CLUB. On. Saturday the Defence Staff Club fired a team's match over ranges of 300, 500, and 600 yards, the winners being Rifleman. 'Crossau's team, by a margin of .13 points.
