WELL-KNOWN ATHLETE IN TROUBLE
I .WARRANT FOR ARREST. (By IWeeraßli—Press ABSOoIaHon.l Christchurch, March 7. Quite a sensation was caused at Lyttelton on Saturday when it was learned that' a warrant had been issued for the arrest of a well-known athlete and an. ex-employee of the Lyttelton Borough Council, for an alleged charge of theft from the Corporation's funds. It is -understood that the person implicated in. the charge recently joined the'reinforcements. The amount of the defalcations is believed to be between £600 and £700. .
