ATTACK ON THE ASTURIAS
AN EXPLANATION (Rec. March 7, 11.40 p.m.) Washington, March 8. Count von Bemstorf, German Ambasj sador, has issued an explanation of the submarine attack on the hospital Bhip Asturias. The German. Government is 6orry to admit the attack, but as the distinctive marks showing the ship's character were not illuminated, the sub* marine's captain mistook her for a trans-* port. -The moment the vessel vraß rev cognised the attacks ceased. .
