AVIATORS' EXPLOITS BRITISH AIR RAIDS IN BELGIUM . London, March 5. In the House of Commons, Mr. As« quitli, the Prima Minister, interrogated regarding the British air raids in Belgium, replied that the attacks had been directed only against points of military, significance, and that every precaution had been taken to avoid damage that was not necessary, with the object iur view. Mr. Phil Snowden (Labour): "Has the Government any information regard" ing recent British air raids in Belgiunt where bombs were thrown indiscrimim ately and five civilians killed?" Mr. Asquith: "No; our information was not to that effect."

Pegoud, the French aviator,' hag been awarded a military medal for at-r tacking three Taubes aud destroying them., ■. . ■"On February 14 the following details of the incident were cabled:— It is semi-officially announced! that ai French aviator, accompanied by, a ma* chine-gunner and gun, chased a Tauba machine. After a minute's hot'firing the Taube fell in flames, .and with its wings torn to ribbons. The Frenchman then attacked Wo other aeroplanes. The first shot struck one of them, and the Frenchman bore down on it vertically, firing incessantly* Suddenly it fell like a stone. The Frenchman rose to a height of 1500 'yards and engaged a third aeroplane. The latter replied with shots from an automatic rifle, but began falling after a minute, and tilted on hia left wing.
