EMPLOYING A DESERTER. (By TcleErauh.—Press Association.) Christehuroh, March 4. In the Lyttelton Court to-day Robert Price, master of the schooner Morning Light, was lined 20s. and costs for shipping a lad who had deserted from the barque Hazel Craig. The Bench said the defendant had not taken the proper steps to protect the interests of the master of the barque.
